Is it just me, am I getting old or is changing websites and creating pointless stories for April Fools a waste of time. Personally I’d just like to read my news without trying to work out if what they are telling me is real or not.

Some are very easy to spot, some however are not.

Here is a complete list for 2008.

Quite possibly the most annoying are:

• All YouTube featured clips redirecting to Rick Roll
• Virgle, Virgin and Google join forces to create a colony on Mars
• BBC flying penquins

Although one of the funniest is this one from the Metro.

Well I’m officially married now, what a wonderful day and thanks to all of our friends for coming and sharing it with us!

Now just a week to go before the honeymoon

I’ve been spending a lot of time working with Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 the last few weeks. For those who don’t know what it is, it’s ‘is a virtualization suite for Microsoft Windows operating systems‘. I use it for testing Windows applications on different versions of Windows and for different server configurations, etc but also for simply collecting old OS’s

I think my current OS list installed is

• Fedora Core
• Windows 2000
• Windows 3.1
• Windows 95
• Windows 98
• Windows ME
• Longhorn Server Beta
• Windows Server 2003 (running IIS, SQL Server, PHP 5 and MySQL)
• Windows Server 2003 (running IIS and a very early PHP 6 beta)
• Windows XP Home
• and I have previously had a Longhorn beta (Vista) and ReactOS but I’ve since deleted them

Basically I really only use the two Windows Server 2003 images and the Windows XP home for testing and development. My licenses for Windows Vista are my main installed OS’s so obviously I’ve not installed them in Virtual PC.

I’d be curious to know if there was even the slightest possiblity of getting OS X (Intel) installed in VPC soon

Well we decided to take a trip to the Tower of London for my birthday this year. 29 this year, unbelievable, where did my 20’s go?

So saturday was Beth’s birthday. We went to the Savoy Grill for lunch (very nice), then went to see Wicked at Victoria afterwards. A great show.

Oh and we also got engaged!

Well I’ve decided that I like taking photos so I’ll apologise that many of them are bad quality in the gallery (due to using a mobile phone) but I’ve just added some new ones I took around London today on a 5mp camera before I get a nice digital SLR soon
